I used the forcexbox option and it wouldn't rename about 24 files.

This is also happening to me on Good2600. Is there any workaround, or is this intended behaviour? I tried running it as 'rename dirs forcexbox,' but I still ended up with dupes due to truncated names. I can hack up a small perl script to do the renaming, but I'd end up loosing the goodcodes at the end.

Fairly old thread but I am also encountering with what I assume is the same dupe roms problems.
This is with GoodGBx and the "forcexbox" command. The problem roms are:
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children - Aka no Shou (J) [C][!].zip
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children - Kuro no Shou (J) [C][!].zip
Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children - Shiro no Shou (J) [C][!].zip
Zelda no Densetsu - Fushigi no Kinomi - Daichi no Shou (J) [C][!].zip
Zelda no Densetsu - Fushigi no Kinomi - Jikuu no Shou (J) [C][!].zip
Zelda no Densetsu - Yume no Miru Shima (J) (V1.0).zip
Zelda no Densetsu - Yume no Miru Shima (J) (V1.1).zip
Zelda no Densetsu - Yume no Miru Shima DX (J) (V1.0) [C][!].zip

Using both "rename forcexbox" and "rename dirs forcexbox" brings up duplicate roms, even though they aren't.
